I have really enjoyed this series and I love Gerald N Lund's books. He makes history interesting for me. Even though the characters and story line are fiction, he bases his stories on true events. The first 3 books of this series needed some serious editing, but this volume had excellent editing. I hope he will continue to use the editors that he used for this volume. I can hardly wait for volume 5. Excellent reading and I highly recommend all 4 volumes of this series.Product details

Gerald Lund never ceases to impress me with his brilliant characterization, plotting, and carefule research. I have all of his books and enjoy re-reading them while waiting for his next release.
Great great read! Im sad im done with book. I miss the characters. Lund is one of my favorite authors. Great story teller. This is perfect for people who love ww2 history.
This author draws you into his book into the story and keeps you returning pages wanting more. It is so well written in accuracy but the characters even though fictional have depth and charisma. You find yourself caring and hoping and having a wonderment about these people. I can't wait for the next one to come out.
I am learning so much about this very important time that I did not know, and in a manner that is so enthralling that I could not put the book down. I am eagerly awaiting the next in the series.
I love all Gerald Lund books and can't wait to listen to this one. We love to listen to audio books while we travel, and are saving this one for our next trip to AZ!
I really enjoy reading of Hitler's rise to power and about how the Crash of 29 contributed to that in a historical novel setting. Gerald Lund is a master of the Historical Novel with appropriate documentation at the end of each chapter to clarify what is fiction and what is fact.
How at the end Emilie is the one that gets the picture. I would like to read about when Hitler finally falls. What a great story of the American East Coast and out West.
I love Gerald Lund. He is my favorite author. Looking now what next to read. Is there going to be a sequel.
